We have experienced a fruitful year thus far, having completed two 7 Steps to Health courses that have benefited an additional 48 individuals impacted by cancer. With a waiting list exceeding 150 people, it is imperative that we continue our efforts to raise as much funding as possible, as an increasing number of individuals are learning about Rainbow Valley and adding their names to our waiting list. Additionally, we successfully hosted our remarkable Brave to Bare event, which raised a total of £36,240. We are truly grateful for the enthusiastic response and the inspiration provided by these 12 participants, which has encouraged many others to join us for the 2026 event. Email jane@rainbowvalley.org.uk for more info if you would like to take part.

Laura is THRIVING

“I haven’t laughed and cried so much in a long time and on my little postcard I wrote that you’d changed my life – which you have as I’ve learnt so much which is going to enable me to live a life full of joy, mindfulness and gratitude following a cancer diagnosis. But more than that, I actually feel like I found me again – the old me was a little bit lost for a wee while and even though I am coming to the end of my treatment i was feeling pretty terrified about that! But whatever happened at Rainbow Valley unleashed the old Laura again and has given me ways of coping with the anxiety caused by a cancer diagnosis.”
Nature
With the better spring weather approaching, walking outside and being surrounded by nature can have many health benefits other than just exercise. Research shows that people who are more connected with nature are usually happier in life and more likely to report feeling their lives are worthwhile. Nature can generate many positive emotions, such as calmness, joy, and creativity and can facilitate concentration.
